An exciting new project launched yesterday, January 15, 2008: The International Day for Sharing Life Stories, co-sponsored by the Center for Digital Storytelling in Berkeley and The Museum of the Person in Brazil. It will be held May 16, 2008. Here's their press release. I've finally launched my digital storytelling site, The Digital Storyteller--exciting and interesting. Digital Storytelling can refer to any uses of technology to support a narrative. We're using it to refer to combining voice-over narration with predominantly still images to create an electronic presentation. Much of the work that is being done in this form uses Apple Computer's iMovie software; Microsoft's PowerPoint, Apple's Keynote, HyperStudio, and many other software programs can be adapted to achieve similar results.
